At IID we strive to provide reliable service at a fair and reasonable rate. The following are some of the ways wee keep our rates low:
No shareholders – we focus on lower rates and not profits
A large portion of our energy is self generated – we are less influenced by market prices
Access to low cost federal hydro power – provided by our affiliation with the Wester Area Power Administration
Tax exempt – making the borrowing process easier
Customer owned – community elected Board of Directors partake in the rate process
