IID’s workforce is comprised of over 1,300 employees, who function in professional, technical, skilled and non-skilled jobs throughout the Imperial and Coachella Valleys.

A sense of unity and common purpose unite the various departments and sections of the IID. The staff is divided into eight functional areas: Executive Offices, Water Department, Energy Department, Finance Department, Human Resources and Information Systems.
